IP GROUP SIGNS LANDMARK AGREEMENT WITH AUSTRALIA’S LEADING UNIVERSITIES AND UNIVERSITY OF AUCKLAND

IP Group today signed a landmark agreement with Australia’s eight leading universities (Group of Eight), and the University of Auckland to help them commercialise “disruptive” technology research.

A Cannings client, London-listed IP Group has similar and very successful arrangements with universities in the UK (including Cambridge and Oxford), and the US (including Princeton and Columbia).

IP Group will invest at least $200m over 10 years to identify and develop spin-out companies involved in disruptive innovation.

The investment is supported by TelstraSuper.
